What is the apron plane used for?
The apron plane is used for all sort of small jobs throughout the creation of a piece. Its small that it fits on your working apron (or pocket) so you can always have it handy. It can be used to adjust edges and even to shave off small peaks on a board. It can also be used to make chamfers and it is particularly useful to remove very fine, spot shavings to ensure perfect fit when putting to parts together.
